The Yearbook of 2020 'TIGERLAND - Edition 4' was released by dignitaries from different cities of India to mark the valediction of TIFF 2020. Wildlife photographer, Advisor to TIFF and legendary actor Waheeda Rehman ji released the book in Mumbai, whereas, wildlife legend and architect of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, Shri Ranjitsinh Jhala released the book in New Delhi.
To commemorate the occasion an e-exhibit of some chosen wildlife photographs of Waheeda Rehman 'WAHEEDA IN THE WILD' was displayed online on TIFF website for a week. This is the second time when TIFF showcased the photography of Waheeda ji.
Also, 'TIGERLAND' was released by senior IAS, filmmaker and writer Shri Tripurari Sharan in Patna; Gandhian thinker, social worker and Director General Income Tax - Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Madhya Pradesh Shri R K Paliwal in Hyderabad; retired PCCF and Member of Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Board Shri Suhas Kumar, PCCF & Chief Wildlife Warden of Madhya Pradesh Shri Alok Kumar, and APCCF Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla at Bhopal; and, Swiss elephant conservationist and filmmaker Brigitte Uttar Kornetzky in Switzerland.
It should be noted that TIFFest'20 was scheduled for March 21-22, 2020. However, due to Covid-19, the scenario changed suddenly, drastically and unexpectedly. Adhering to the advisory issued by the Government of India on March 6, 2020 against organizing any mass-gatherings, the TIFF Organising Committee on March 7, 2020 unanimously decided to postpone the TIFFest 2020 until further notice. Unfortunately, the situation turned from bad to worse, and hence, TIFF 2020 was concluded during the Wildlife Week October 2-8, 2020, in a manner feasible in the prevailing scenario. Eliminating few of the regular components --- Symposium, Wildlife Quiz and Film Screenings --- the TIFF Organising Committee published the yearbook and felicitated the award winners through cash prizes by electronic bank transfers. Original certificates and copies of the yearbook were sent to all award winners as well as the participants by post.
