Films are invited under FOUR sub-categories:

I. Documentary

II. Short Documentary

III. Short Film

IV. Promotional Film

 

The general guidelines for Film submission are as follows. The individual guidelines and the entry-fee details for separate sub-categories follow after that. 

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR FILM SUBMISSION

  1. Your entry must reach us within the last date.
  2. The maximum number of entries permitted per participant is THREE.
  3. Films in any language shall be eligible. However, every film must be subtitled in English
  4. Any film submitted must be produced within 2 years prior to the date of submission in TIFF.
  5. The content must not have any objectionable scenes or dialogues.
  6. Films applying must have a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification or CBFC (Censor Certificate), aptly displayed in the beginning of the film. For films not having the CBFC certification, a Declaration from Producer in hard copy must be posted to the official address of TIFF.   7. TIFF and its associates shall be free to use your submission(s), as a whole or in part thereof, for conservation awareness, sensitisation, publicity, or any such purpose of a purely non-commercial nature, in any medium whatsoever.
  8. Your submission shall be considered null and void if it is not accompanied with the entry fee. The payment gateway integrated with the online submission form works for a single person. For depositing the entry-fee of  bulk-submissions (schools / colleges / institutions), an NEFT must be sent on the details available on this link http://tigerlandindia.in/neft-details/ .  The participants of such bulk submissions must individually fill up and send their online entry forms as well. 
  9. The Festival Director reserves the right to settle all cases not covered by the guidelines and to grant exceptions in special cases. All cases will be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of India and settled under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Bhopal.
  10. Every person who submits an entry, irrespective of whether he/she is awarded or not, shall be free to attend our annual gala event TIFFest.

 

INDIVIDUAL GUIDELINES FOR SUB-CATEGORIES

I. DOCUMENTARY FILM

i. The duration (including beginning and end credits)  should not be less than 30 minutes, and not more than 45 mins.

ii. The genre must be Non-fiction.

iii. The theme or subject should be related to Environment / Nature / Wildlife / Biodiversity or the like.

iv. Maximum number of entries permitted per contestant shall be 1.

II. SHORT DOCUMENTARY FILM

i. The duration (including beginning and end credits)  should not be less than 8 minutes, and not more than 12 mins.

ii. The genre must be Non-fiction.

iii. The theme or subject should be related to Environment / Nature / Wildlife / Biodiversity or the like.

iv. Maximum number of entries permitted per contestant shall be 2.

III. SHORT FILM

i. The duration (including beginning and end credits)  should not be less than 8 minutes, and not more than 12 mins.

ii. The genre must be Fiction.

iii. Maximum number of entries permitted per contestant shall be 2.

IV. PROMOTIONAL FILM

i. The duration (including beginning and end credits)  should not be less than 45 seconds, and upto  3 mins.

ii. The genre can be Fiction or Non-fiction.

iii. Live Action and 2D/3D Animation, either or both are allowed.

iv. Silent film / musical film is also allowed, besides the regular talky film.

v. Maximum number of entries permitted per contestant shall be 2.
