About the place:
The largest national park of India, Hemis is the only Indian national park north of the Great Himalayas. Known for its Snow Leopards, Hemis has the highest density of this big cat in the entire world. Other prominent species include Tibetan Sheep, Ibex, Tibetan Wolf, Red Fox, Himalayan Brown Bear, Eurasian Lynx and Golden Eagle. The park is famous for its magnificent scenic landscapes.
